Sant'Anna School achieved the top positions in the World University Rankings.


Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020  (THE)

Times Higher Education World University Rankings  is the only one in the world that includes all the main activities of a University: teaching, research, technological transfer and international visibility.

The Sant'Anna School ranked a follows:

  • 2nd at the national level on a census of 49 institutions
  • 170th at the international level on a census of 1.527 institutions
  • 4th at world level of best young universities (under 50 years old)

QS World University Rankings

In 2018 QS World University Rankings,  Sant'Anna School has been ranked:

  • 2nd at the national level on a census of 30 institutions
  • 177th at the international level on a census of 1.000 institutions
  • 15th at the international level on a census of 150 young universities (under 50 years old)

Valutazione della Qualità della Ricerca (VQR)

Although now close to being updated with the new evaluation 2011-2014, this ranking is to this day the most important national evaluation conducted by the ANVUR for the Ministry of the quality of research in Italian universities. The ranking provides separate scientific areas and university size rankings.

In the absolute rankings, the Sant'Anna School fares as follows

  • 1st for three scientific areas (Biological Science, Agricultural Science, Industrial and Information Engineering)
  • 2nd for one scientific area (Economics)
  • 3rd for one scientific area (Medical Science)
  • 4th for one scientific area (Political Science)
