    Biorobotics

The PhD in BioRobotics is a three-year program that aims at educating highly competent researchers with the potential to be leaders in this area. The students are educated in a stimulating, interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary environment, within the Research Areas of the Institute, which merge robotics, bioengineering and biomimetics. Doctoral research projects are carried on in very well equipped, state-of-the-art laboratories, in such fields as prosthetic, surgical, therapeutic and healthcare robotics, bioengineering, biomimetics, micro-and nano-technology, soft robotics. Personal and team work are performed under the supervision of a committed full-time faculty in the framework of international collaborations.
At the end of the PhD Program, Doctors of Philosophy will possess solid scientific and engineering skills, the ability to conceive and carry out original research projects, and an autonomous entrepreneurship spirit.


Admission

Students are admitted to the program following a successful entrance examination (ranking criteria are set in the official call). Eligible applicants must hold a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree or equivalent title. Undergraduate students may also apply if they graduate within October 31st.


Scholarships, Fellowships and Tuition Fees

Students can be admitted to the PhD program with a Scholarship or with a Fellowship (generally funded by a research grant) which are renewed annually following a succesful assessment. There are no tuition fees for the enrolment to the PhD in Biorobotics (detailed information on the official call and annexes).
